Doctor Who Vs. Silent Witness, Series 19

The nineteenth season of this popular crime drama concluded on BBC One last night, and again starred Emilia Fox (a veteran of over a hundred episodes since 2004) and David Caves as doctors Nikki Alexander and Jack Hodgson. The Home Office forensic pathologists (all based in London's Lyell Centre) were again joined by Clarissa Mullery and Dr. Thomas Chamberlain, played by Liz Carr and Richard Lintern.
The programme, which began in 1996, has been recommissioned for a twentieth anniversary series, due 
for early 2017, and the recent five, two-part mysteries 
featured these nineteen Doctor Who cast and crew connections:

After The Fall (UK TX: January 4 & 5 2016)
  • Ariyon Bakare (Father Dawes) played Leandro (pictured) in The Woman Who Lived
  • Liza Tarbuck (DI Rankin) voiced Captain Kaliko for The Infinite Quest, and Lysette Barclay for Big Finish's Plague of the Daleks (2009)
  • Dean Lennox Kelly (Carmichael) was the eponymous Bard in The Shakespeare Code 
  • Sagar Arya (Shah) was a Newsreader on The Christmas Invasion and The Sarah Jane Adventures
  • Timothy Wood was second assistant director on K9 too
Flight (UK TX: January 11 & 12)
  • Richard Senior also directed Let's Kill Hitler, Space/Time, Night and the Doctor and Doctor Who at the Proms (2013), and was the second unit director on The Day of the Doctor
  • Esther Hall (DI Ryman) voiced Virginia for Doom Coalition 1 (BF, 2015), and Tazmeena, Bauze and Mum for The Two Masters (BF, new for 2016)
  • Richard Dillane (DCI Waite) was Captain Carter in Let's Kill Hitler and The Wedding of River Song
  • Raji James (Rachid) was Dr. Rajesh Singh in Doomsday and Army of Ghosts
  • series casting director Andy Brierley was casting associate on fifty-eight episodes (from The Christmas Invasion to The Big Bang), Music of the Spheres, The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood
  • Fay Selby was also first assistant director on Asylum of the Daleks, The Angels Take Manhattan, Nightmare in Silver and The Day of the Doctor
Life Licence (UK TX: January 18 & 19)
  • Robert Whitelock (Bright) was Mahler in The Bells of Saint John, and voiced Rickett for Psychodrome (BF, 2014), and Curtis for volume one of The Second Doctor (new for 2016)
  • Tim Packham (Paaser-by) began his TV career as a Plasmaton in The Dimensions of Time
  • Niamh Cusack (Sylvie) voiced Clarimonde for Zaltys (BF, 2017)
  • Damian Bromley was also the cinematographer on The Time of Angles and Flesh and Stone
In Plain Sight (UK TX: January 25 & 26)
  • Keith Boak also directeRoseAliens of London and World War Three
  • Neil Stuke (DI Cooke) voiced the titular villain of The Crooked Man (BF, 2014)
River's Edge (UK TX: February 2 & 3)
  • Andrew Forbes (Consultant) was Omril in Full Circle
  • Derek Griffiths (DS Guillam) voiced Jason Taylor for Brave New World (BF, 2008)
