Doctor Who Vs. Broadchurch, Series 2

Whilst the first series of this multi-
award winning crime drama focused 
on the hunt for a child killer, this 
second season concentrated on the subsequent trial of prime suspect
Joe Miller, and the reopening of 
another murder case.
Prolific TV screenwriter and future 
Doctor Who showrunner Chris 
Chibnall again penned this whole 
season, which began another repeat 
run on ITV Encore last night. 
David Tennant and Olivia Coleman
both reprised their roles as detective 
partners, DI Alec Hardy and DS 
Ellie Miller.
Arthur DarvillJodie Whittaker 
and Andrew Buchan also returned 
as Reverand Coates and the Latimers.
First aired over eight consecutive Monday nights in January and 
February of 2015 (again averaging almost ten million viewers), series two of 
Broadchurch now starred Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Shaun Dooley, Eve Myles and these twenty other Doctor Who cast and crew

  • Jenny Bede (Laura) voiced Florrie for Absolute Power (BF, 2016)
  • Dean Forster was also a stuntman on nine adventures (from The Christmas Invasion to Robot of Sherwood)
  • Richard Rowntree was also the greensman on forty-one stories (from The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe to The Husbands of River Song)
  • Geoff Holloway was also an electrician on The Christmas InvasionClosing Time and The Day of the Doctor
