Doctor Who Vs. Silent Witness, Series 8

Season eight of this crime drama was first broadcast 
on BBC1 in 2004, and again starred Amanda Burton,
in her final appearance as Home Office pathologist, 
Professor Sam Ryan. 
Following the series opener, Ryan returned home to 
Northern Ireland. The other series regulars, William Gaminara and Tom Ward - doctors Leo Dalton and 
Harry Cunningham - were then joined by newcomer, 
Emilia Fox as Dr. Nikki Alexander, in the third serial.
Ward later appeared in The Snowmenwhilst Fox 
voiced roles for Nevermore and The Gunpowder Plot).
Another repeat run of the four, feature-length stories
began last night on the Drama channel, and featured twenty-five Doctor Who cast and crew connection

A Time to Heal (UK TX: September 5 & 6)
  • Anne Bird (Nurse) voiced both Caitriona and Shazza for Big Finish's The Rapture (2002)
  • Patrick Drury (Gaghan) voiced Tom Carlton for Jago & Litefoot: The Wax Princess (2014)
  • SFX supervisor Graham Brown was a SFX assistant on Resurrection of the Daleks and (part 1 of) Attack of the Cybermen
  • Charlie Bluett was also prosthetics technician on thirty-nine episodes (from Rose and Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS), The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood

Death by Water (UK TX: September 12 & 13)
  • Philip Bird (DCI Tennant) made his TV debut as a Swampie in The Power of Kroll
  • Kate Fleetwood (Sienna) was the voice of Ship for The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Mad Woman in the Attic
  • David Harewood (Stuart) played Joshua Naismith (pictured) in The End of Time, and voiced President Vallan for Army of Death (BF, 2011)
  • Ozzie Yue (Choo) was the Foreman in The Angels Take Manhattan
Nowhere Fast (UK TX: September 19 & 20)
  • Big Finish actor Ramon Tikaram (Bhandari) voiced Wanchese for Voyage to the New World (2012), the Castellan for Doom Coalition 1, Marlock for Theatre of War, Colonel Shindi for both UNIT: Extinction (all 2015), and UNIT: Silenced (2016)
  • James Wilby (Gibb) voiced Tenebris for both The Acheron Pulse and The Shadow Heart (BF, 2012)
  • Sylvestra Le Touzel (Birley) also made her TV debut on the classic era, as a Child in The Mind Robber
Body 21 (UK TX: September 26 & 27)
  • Douglas Mackinnin also directed The Sontaran StratagemThe Poison SkyThe Power of Three, Cold War, Listen, Time Heist and Flatline
  • Tony Bluto (Delivery Man) was Driver Joe in Midnight
  • Shaun Parkes (DI Freeman here; and Walker in Series 19: Life Licence) and Danny Webb (DS Bradley) both appeared in The Satan Pit two-parter as Captain Zachary Cross Flane and Mr. Jefferson respectively - Webb also voiced Byron for The Girl Who Never Was (BF, 2007), and Ori for The Dark Husband (BF, 2008)
  • Emma Cunniffe (Rosa) was Claire in Night Terrors, and voiced Caleera for Doom Coalition 2 (2016), the Sonomancer for Doom Coalition 4, and Madame Berber for Torchwood: The Dying Room (both 2017)
  • Kieran Bew (Wiltshire here; Lt. Lockford in Series 14: First Casualty) voiced Arthur Kettleson for The Lady of Mercia (BF, 2013), Murdo Jamieson for The Helm of Awe, and Krim Pollensa for Torchwood: The Lives of Captain Jack (both 2017), and was Ivan in Oxygen
  • Stewart James was also a stuntman on Victory of the Daleks
