Doctor Who Vs. Endeavour, Series 2

Shaun Evans returned as the Oxford-based detective,
DC Morse, and was again joined by Roger Allam 
(as DI Fred Thursday), Anton Lesser (CS Bright), 
Jack Laskey (DS Jakes), James Bradshaw (Dr. Max
 DeBryn), and Sean Rigby (PC Strange) for the 
second run of Endeavour.
As was traditional in Inspector Morse (1987-2000), 
crime writer Colin Dexter (born 1930) made cameo appearances in every episode here, and John Thaw's
actress daughter Abigail Thaw, again starred here
(as Dorothea Frazil)  
The four-part season, which first aired in the Spring 
2014, began another repeat run on ITV1 last night, 
and featured twenty-six Doctor Who cast and crew connections:

Trove (UK TX: March 30 2014)
  • series regular and Big Finish guest star Shvorne Marks (Monica) voiced Ampz for The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield: The Unbound Universe (2016), and Silo Crook for The Lives of Captain Jack (2017)
  • Jamie Parker (Dr. Copley-Barnes) voiced Wulfric for Leviathan, and Major Richter for The Architects of History (both 2010)
  • Jessie Buckley (Kitty) voiced Lina for The Last Adventure: The Red House (2015), both Sarah Dean and Speravore Queen for The Diary of River Song 2 (BF, 2017), and Commander Lorne for The Wreck of the World (2017)
  • Pooky Quesnel (Muriel) was the Captain in A Christmas Carol
  • David Westhead (Todd) was Kempe in The Shakespeare Code
  • Michael Hobbs (Officer) voiced Fazackerly for Other Lives (2005), and Arcantis for Time In Office (2017)
  • Jonathan Coy (Batten) voiced Fowler for Jago & Litefoot 9 (BF, 2015)
  • Beth Goddard (Barbara) voiced Christine Colley for UNIT: Encounters (BF, 2017)
  • Tom Lucy was also the stunt co-ordinator on sixteen adventures (from Smith and Jones to The Next Doctor)
  • Martin Griffiths (dressing props) was the props storeman on twenty-eight instalments (from The Christmas Invasion to Last of the Time Lords and Torchwood)
  • Neal Champion (SFX supervisor) and Luke Corbyn (SFX technician) both worked on An Adventure in Space and Time too, and series executive producer Damien Timmer made a cameo appearance in that biopic as a Menoptera
Nocturne (UK TX: April 6)
  • Michael J Shannon (Gardiner) voiced Senior Prosecutor Uglosi for Nevermore (BF, 2010), and Dr. Hugo Macht for Shield of the Jotunn (BF, 2015)
  • Struan Rodger (Karswell) provided the voice of the Face of Boe in New Earth and Gridlock, and was Clayton in The Woman Who Lived
Sway (UK TX: April 13)
  • Rob Jarvis (Huggins) was Abramal in The Time of the Doctor
  • Paul Lacoux (Jellicoe) voiced Dr. Mathias for The Harvest (BF, 2004)
  • Adrian Schiller (Highbank) was Uncle (pictured) in The Doctor's Wife, and voiced Zanith for Time Works (BF, 2006)
  • Tim McMullan (Quinbury) voiced Octavian for Doom Coalition 3 (BF, 2016)
Neverland (UK TX: April 20)
  • Sarah Woodward (Hazel) voiced Theodora for The Secret History (BF, 2015)
  • Geoffrey Sax directed the Doctor Who TV Movie too
  • James Wilby (ACC Deare) voiced Tenebris for both The Acheron Pulse and The Shadow Heart (BF, 2012), and Professor John Torrance for UNIT: Encounters
  • Derek Hutchinson (CC Standish) voiced both the Usher and Callis for Dark Eyes 4
  • Vince Leigh (DI Chard) voiced Volstrom and Matrix Keeper for Doom Coalition 4 (BF, 2017)
  • Oliver Lansley (Topling) was Jorj in World Enough and Time, and voiced Jack Ridpath for Jago & Litefoot 13 (2017)
  • Dean Forster was also a stuntman on nine stories (from The Christmas Invasion to Robot of Sherwood)
  • script supervisor Karen Jones began her career as a production assistant on Mindwarp
