Doctor Who Vs. Marple: They Do It With Mirrors

The Queen of Crime's fifth Miss Marple mystery, her
forty-eighth novel, was published in 1952, and was
known in the US as Murder With Mirrors) The book
was adapted for American TV (1985), and the BBC
(1991), before this ITV Studios production.
Julia McKenzie made her debut as Jane Marple in the fourth season of Agatha Christie murder mysteries, succeeding Geraldine McEwan in the title role.
Originally broadcast on New Years Day 2010, They 
Do It With Mirrors was shown again on ITV3 today,
and featured Maxine Peake, Joan Collins, Alex
Jennings, and eleven Doctor Who cast and crew

  • Penelope Wilton (Carrie) played Harriet Jones (pictured) in Aliens of London, World War Three (when MP for Flydale North), The Christmas Invasion (then Prime Minister), and The Stolen Earth (now ex-PM)
  • Brian Cox (Serrocold) voiced the Ood Elder in The End of Time, and portrayed Sydney Newman in An Adventure in Space and Time
  • Elliot Cowan (Hudd) voiced Gark for Big Finish's The Fifth Traveller (2016)
  • Sarah Smart (Mildred) was Jennifer Lucas in The Rebel Flesh and The Almost People, and voiced Laura Corbett for The Crooked Man (BF, 2014)
  • Alexei Sayle (Dr. Maverick) was the DJ in Revelation of the Daleks
  • Nigel Terry (Gulbrandsen) was General Cobb in The Doctor's Daughter
  • Mick Pantaleo was also the first assistant director on A Christmas Carol, The Doctor's Wife and Night Terrors
  • Tom Lucy was also the stunt co-ordinator on sixteen episodes (from Smith and Jones to The Next Doctor)
  • Jamie Harcourt was also a camera operator on The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit
  • Nigel Squibbs was the dubbing mixer on An Adventure in Space and Time too
  • series lighting gaffer Gavin Walters was an electrician on Love & Monsters
