Doctor Who Vs. In His Life: The John Lennon Story

This American TV movie explored the early musical career of John Winston Lennon (portrayed by Philip McQuillan), from receiving his first guitar in 1956
(a gift from his mother Julia) to the eve of the Beatles' legendary appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964.
Liverpool-born actors Daniel McGowan, Mark Rice-Oxley, and Christian Ealey played Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Richard Starkey (Ringo), whilst Lee Williams and Scot Williams starred as original bass guitarist Stuart Sutcliffe (1940-1962) and drummer Pete Best (born 1941).
