Doctor Who Vs. The Hack

ITV Studios' latest crime drama
was based on the true story of the
News International phone hacking scandal. Set between 2002 and
2012, the series examined two
linked strands - the work of Nick
Davies (portrayed by David
Tennant), the journalist who
uncovered evidence of widespread criminality at the News of the
World, and the corrupt police
investigation into the unsolved
1987 murder of Daniel Morgan, a private detective hired by the tabloid. Written by Jack Thorne, the seven-part thriller concluded on ITV1
