Doctor Who Vs. A Christmas Carol (1984)

This version of Charles Dickens' festive literary

 classic was a faithful retelling of the original

novella (published in 1843) with a cast led by

George C Scott (nominated for an Emmy award

 for his role of Scrooge).

Shown on ITV3 today, this Anglo-American TV movie (released in late 1984) featured Frank

Finlay (as Marley), Mark Strickson (Young

Ebenezer), David Warner (Bob Crachit), Roger

Rees, Edward Woodward, Nigel Davenport, Liz
