Doctor Who Vs. Hot Fuzz

This hit British comedy
action film, released by
Universal in 2007, was
co-written by lead
actor Simon Pegg and
director Edgar Wright. 
The second instalment
in the Cornetto trilogy
 (which began with
Shaun of the Dead in
2004, and concluded
with The World's End 
in 2013), again starred
Nick Frost.
Pegg and Frost also collaborated on Paul 
(2011), Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018), and Truth Seekers (2020).
Screened on ITV2 last night, the film featured David Bradley, Martin
Freeman, Steve Coogan, Edward Woodward, Paddy Considine, Billie
Whitelaw, and a total of twenty-seven Doctor Who cast and crew
connections:

  • Pegg (Sgt. Nicholas Angel) voiced Don Chaney for Big Finish's Invaders from Mars (2002), then played the Editor in The Long Game, and was Narrator of the first run of Doctor Who Confidential
