this musical drama covers a day in the life
of Paul McCartney, writer of the screen-
play, who appeared here with wife Linda,
and Ringo Starr. Despite a poor box office
and critical performance, the film's sound-
track album (produced by George Martin)
was a global hit - it included the lead single
No More Lonely Nights, and songs from the Beatles and Wings.
Distributed by Fox, the (in-house) MPL Communications production was accom-
panied at cinemas by the animated short
film of Rupert and the Frog Song, which
featured McCartney's next solo single We
All Stand Together.
