Series regulars Trevor Eve, Sue Johnston and WilJohnson all returned (as DS Boyd, Dr. Foley and
DI Jordan) for the ninth, and final season of
BBC1's award-winning crime drama, originally
shown in the spring of 2011.
Tara Fitzgerald's role (Dr. Lockhart) here was
reprised later that year for the spin-off show,
The Body Farm.
Peter Boyd and his Cold Case team were now
joined by Superintendent Sarah Cavendish
(played by Eva Birthistle), murdered in the
finale by ACC Nicholson (Paul McGann) in a
bid to frame Boyd.
A repeat run of the ten-part series began on
U&Drama last night - it featured David Bradley,
