Series stalwarts Sid James, Kenneth Williams,Hattie Jacques, Joan Sims, Bernard Bresslaw,
Barbara Windsor, Peter Butterworth, and Kenneth Connor all starred in the twenty-fourth instalment
in the comedy franchise.
June Whitfield (1925-2018) returned to the series
thirteen years after Carry On Nurse, whilst veteran
Charles Hawtrey made his twenty-third and final appearance of the run, and Jack Douglas made his
debut here.
Released in 1972, the comedy was inspired by
the craze of cheap package holidays that became
popular in the Seventies, and was set in the resort
of Elsbels. The film was shown on ITV3 today - it
featured Patsy Rowlands, Jimmy Logan, Sally
Geeson, and seventeen Doctor Who cast links:
