Doctor Who Vs. Spooks, Series 3

Series regulars Peter Firth, Nicola Walker, Hugh
Simon, Rory MacGregor, and Shauna Macdonald
returned for the third season of the award-winning
BBC spy drama, first shown in the autumn of 2004.
The run saw the departure of three key characters
- MI5 officers Tom Quinn (played by Matthew
Macfadyen), Zoe Reynolds (Keeley Hawes), and Danny Hunter (David Oyelowo) - whilst Rupert
Penry-Jones joined the programme as former MI6
agent Adam Carter.
A repeat showing of the ten-part series began on
U&Drama last night - it featured a total of twenty
-four Doctor Who cast and crew connections:
  • Bill Anderson was also director of Thin Ice and Knock Knock
  • Jonny Campbell was also director of The Vampires of Venice and Vincent and the Doctor
  • Jalaal Hartley (Sayle) was Richard Burbage in The Shakespeare Code

The twenty-fifth season of BBC
Studios' evergreen crime drama

2022 - it starred Emilia Fox and
David Caves as doctors Nikki
Alexander and Jack Hodgson.

Stewart). The show's distinctive theme
music earned a RTS award for composer
