Doctor Who Vs. Trial & Retribution VI

Lynda La Plante's acclaimed
crime drama returned to ITV in
October 2002. David Hayman,
Dorian Lough, and Inday Ba
reprised their respective roles as DCS Walker, DS Satchell, and DC
West, whilst Kate Buffery
 (pictured left as DI North) left
the series after six years. Like
La Plante's earlier hit series
Prime Suspect, the programme employed its distinctive split-
screen technique. A repeat run of the two-part case (the last without a specific subtitle) concluded on ITV3 last night - it featured Camille Coduriand a dozen Doctor Who cast and crew connections:
  • Tim McInnerny (Fowler) was Klineman Halpen in Planet of the Ood, and voiced Admiral Dolne for Big Finish's The Well-Mannered War (2015), and the eponymous role for Puccini and the Doctor (2024)
  • James [William] Fox (Stevens QC) voiced Professor Chronotis for Shada
  • Bella Emberg [born Sybil Dyke] (Mrs. Fowler) was Nurse in (episode 6 of) The Silurians, and Servant in The Time Warrior (4), then was Mrs. Croot in Love & Monsters

Doctor Who Vs. Wycliffe, Series 4

Jack Shepherd returned as WJ Burley's Cornish
detective for the fourth and penultimate season (first broadcast in 1997) of HTV's popular crime drama, and
was again joined by Jimmy Yuill, Helen Masters, Tim
Wylton, Charlie Hayes, and Lynne Farleigh. Michael Attwell joined the cast here as DCC Stevens.
A repeat run of the nine-part series (which included
a Christmas special) began on ITV3 today it featured
