drama returned to ITV in November
2005. David Hayman, Dorian Lough,
Victoria Smurfit, and Sarah Ozeke
reprised their respective roles (as
DCS Walker, DS Satchell, DCI
Connor, and DC West). Like La
Plante's earlier hit series Prime
Suspect, the programme employed
a distinctive split-screen technique.
A repeat run of this two-part case
(the final one in that format, and
subtitled The Lovers) concluded on
ITV3 last night - it featured these
ten Doctor Who cast and crew
connections:
- Gerard Murphy (DS Gregg) was Richard Maynarde in Silver Nemesis, then Narrator of War Zone
- Patrick [Lindesay Archibald Godfrey (Gordon) was Tor in The Savages, and Major Cosworth in The Mind of Evil
- Guy Henry (Bingham QC) voiced Director Ikron for Big Finish's Infamy of the Zaross (2017)
- Milo Twomey (Harrington) voiced Jorvik for Theatre of War (2015), and Crispin Blake for The Star Crossed Diversion (2023)
- Julian [Wyatt] Glover (Knowles QC) was King Richard in The Crusade, and Scaroth in City of Death
- Paul Bazely (Dr. Nynagh) was Ven Garr in The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe, then voiced Elio/SV44/SV72 for The Enhancement, Mikhail for Black Friday, and the Duke of Hishtar for The Ribos Inheritance (all 2022)
- James Blackwell was first assistant director on Partners in Crime too
- Michael Preece was props buyer on K9 & Company too
- Roger Dobson was dialogue editor on An Adventure in Space and Time too
