joined the cast here as DC Alan
Temple.
This final, full season (written by
Jimmy McGovern and newcomer
Paul Abbott) won another BAFTA Best Drama award for Granada,
whilst Coltrane earned his third consecutive Best Actor prize.
A repeat run of the seven-part series (originally shown in the autumn of
1995) began on ITV3 last night- it featured John Simm, and a total of
sixteen Doctor Who cast and crew connections:
