Bond film franchise was based on Fleming's
eleventh full length novel (published in 1964)
and was adapted by the prolific Welsh
children's author Roald Dahl (1916-1990).
The series was especially popular in Japan, so
Eon's next production was set and filmed in
that country.
ITV4's latest Bond season continued tonight
with Sean Connery's final regular assignment in
the role - it featured Donald Pleasence, Anthony
