Doctor Who Vs. Carry On Dick

The twenty-sixth production from the Carry On
stable was released in 1974, and marked the
end of an era for the franchise. Stalwarts Sid
James, Hattie Jacques, and Barbara Windsor
made their last series appearances here, but
were reunited on the Carry On Laughing! TV
spin-off in 1975. James (born Solomon Joel
Cohen in Johannesburg) died in 1976, aged 62. This was also the twentieth and final screenplay from Talbot Rothwell (1916-1981). Kenneth
Williams, Bernard Bresslaw, Joan Sims, Peter
Butterworth, Kenneth Connor, Jack Douglas,
and Patsy Rowlands also starred here.

Turpin) featured sixteen Doctor Who cast
