This version of Charles Dickens' festive literary
classic was a faithful retelling of the original
novella (published in 1843) with a cast led by
George C Scott (nominated for an Emmy award
for his role of Ebenezer Scrooge).
Shown on channel 4 today, this Anglo-American
TV movie (released in late 1984) featured Frank Finlay, Mark Strickson, David Warner,
Edward Woodward, and eleven Doctor Who
