Doctor Who Vs. Carry On Again Doctor

The eighteenth production
(and the third with a medical 
theme) from the Carry On
stable was released in 1969,
and again starred franchise
stalwarts Sid James, Kenneth
Williams, Charles Hawtrey,
 Joan Sims, Hattie Jacques,
Barbara Windsor, and Peter
Butterworth. Patsy Rowlands
 (1931-2005) debuted here,
and starred in eight further
titles, whilst Jim Dale made his final series appearance until Carry On
Columbus (1992). This comedy, the sequel to 1968's Carry On Doctor,
was shown on ITV3 today - it featured twenty-four Doctor Who cast
connections:

  • Claire [Bernice] Davenport (Guest here; Blonde in Carry On Emmannuelle) was the Empress in (episode 7 of) Marco Polo
  • Heather Emmanuel (Girl) was Tessa in The Android Invasion (4)
  • Anthony Lang (Sick man) was an Egyptian Slave in The Daleks' Master PlanExtra in The Highlanders (1) and The Faceless Ones (1), Time Lord in The Three Doctors (1), and Kaled Councillor in Genesis of the Daleks
  • Byron [Richard] Sotiris (Man) was Critas in Enlightenment (2)
  • Richard Atherton (Man) was Lama in The Abominable Snowmen, Inspector/Prison Officer in The Mind of Evil, Noble in The Androids of Tara, and Passenger in Time Flight
