(pictured left as DI North) left
the series after six years. Like
La Plante's earlier hit series
Prime Suspect, the programme employed its distinctive split-
screen technique. The two-part case (the last without a specific subtitle)
was repeated on ITV3 last week - it featured Camille Coduri, and a
dozen Doctor Who cast and crew connections:
- Tim McInnerny (Fowler) was Klineman Halpen in Planet of the Ood, and voiced Admiral Dolne for Big Finish's The Well-Mannered War (2015)
- James [William] Fox (Stevens QC) voiced Professor Chronotis for Shada
- Bella Emberg [born Sybil Dyke] (Mrs. Fowler) was a Nurse in (episode 6 of) The Silurians, and Servant in The Time Warrior (4), then was Mrs. Croot in Love & Monsters
- Colin Prockter (Giddings) was the Chef in The Long Game, and the ARP Warden in Victory of the Daleks
- Stevan Rimkus (Walker) was Captain Bates in The Curse of Fenric
- Chris Obi (Officer) was George in Closing Time
- Amerjit Deu (Clerk) voiced the Swami for Hounded (2016), the Governor for World of Damnation (2018), Roni Bandara for The Dimension Cannon 1 (2019), and Jom for Maelstrom (2022)

- Clare Mahoney was the foley artist on An Adventure in Space and Time too
- Chris Lawson (SFX technician) was VFX designer on Arc of Infinity, Planet of Fire and Attack of the Cybermen

- Jennie Fave (floor runner) was production manager on Time Crash, then second assistant director on nineteen episodes (from Gridlock to The End of Time) and Music of the Spheres
