Doctor Who Vs. Hannay, Series 2

This adventure series was the
TV spin-off from Rank's 1978 film version of The Thirty Nine
StepsBoth productions starred
Robert Powell as John Buchan's
Richard Hannay.
This Thames Television period
drama (set before the Great
War) had little in common with
 Buchan's novels, but used
character names from his other
works.
Hannay followed The Three
Hostagesthe 1977 BBC TV
serial, with Barry Foster as
the hero. Rupert Penry Jones
portrayed Hannay in BBC1's remake of The 39 Steps in 2008.

One Kings - the first new Hannay story in eighty years, now written by Scottish children's author, Robert J Harris.
