Doctor Who Vs. Marple, Series 5

Jane Marple was again portrayed here
by Big Finish guest star Julia McKenzie.
The Secret of Chimneys (published in
1925) does not actually feature Marple -
this version used elements of The Herb
of Death from The Thirteen Problems
anthology. The Blue Geranium also
appeared in that volume, released in
1932. The Mirror Crack'd from Side to
Side was based on Agatha Christie's
eighth full-length Marple novel, issued
in 1962.
The season opened with The Pale Horse,
another non-Marple mystery, which aired
in August 2010, whilst the remaining
serials were shown over the following
Christmas period. A repeat run of these
festive specials began on ITV3 last night - they featured a total of
twenty-nine Doctor Who cast and crew connections:
