Doctor Who Vs. Marple: Ordeal by Innocence

The second part of ITV Studio's third season of

Marple was loosely based on Agatha Christie's fiftieth novel, published in 1958.

The mystery did not actually feature Jane Marple

(again portrayed here by Geraldine McEwan) and

was one of the writer's favourite works. Now

considered a classic of the genre, the book has

also been adapted for cinema, stage, radio, and

even a graphic novel.

Repeated on ITV3 today, this case (originally

 shown in June 2007) starred Juliet Stevenson,

Richard Armitage, Alison Steadman, Denis Lawson,

Camille Coduri, Gugu Mbatha Raw, and fifteen
