published in 1958. The series of seventy
Paddington Brown titles followed, and
have since been adapted for television
(1975/1989/1997), the stage (1974),
and cinema.
This sequel to Paddington (released in
late 2017) was shown on BBC1 tonight
- it featured Ben Wishaw (as the voice
of the titular bear), Hugh Bonneville,
Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Peter
Capaldi, Hugh Grant, Tom Conti,
Brendan Gleeson, and nineteen
