Doctor Who Vs. Strange

This supernatural drama series (probably the
best programme you've never heard of) from
Big Bear Productions is a forgotten gem, and
was sadly never renewed for a second run.
A pilot episode (aired on BBC1 in 2002) was followed by a six-part season (all written by show creator Andrew Marshall) a year later.
Here, defrocked priest, John Strange (played
by Richard Coyle) is helped in his mission to
track down demons by nurse Jude Atkins
(Samantha Janus), and internet-nerd Toby (Andrew-Lee Potts). They are continually
hampered in their quest by Canon Black (Ian Richardson) - intent on refuting the
presence of demonic forces.
Series director Joe Ahearne was assigned
to five Doctor Who stories when the
programme was revived in 2005, whilst
Tom Baker guest starred in the finale -
Strange featured a total thirty-seven
