 ITV Studios' long awaited true-

crime drama (originally broadcast

in the autumn of 2023) was des-

cribed as "the definitive depiction

of the five-year hunt for serial

killer Peter Sutcliffe (portrayed

here by Mark Stobbart), sen-

sitively focussing on the lives of

the victims who crossed his path and those of the officers at the heart

of the police investigation - the victims, their families and the survivors

[are] at the heart of this well-documented story."

A repeat run of the seven-part thriller, produced by New Pictures, began

on ITV3 last night - it featured Toby Jones, David Morrissey, Lee Ingleby,

 Katherine Kelly, Michael McElhatton, Steven Waddington, Jack Deam,

Jill Halfpenny, Stephen Tompkinson, Ruth Madeley, and twenty-seven
