Doctor Who Vs. Patriot Games

Directed by Phillip Noyce, this American thriller was based on Tom Clancy's 1987
espionage novel. Harrison Ford port- rayed ex-CIA analyst Jack Ryan here and in the sequel, Clear and
Present Danger, after
replacing Alec Baldwin,
and was joined by Anne
Archer, Sean Bean,
Samuel L Jackson, and
James Earl Jones. Released by Paramount in mid 1992, the film (shown on Channel 4 last night) also featured Patrick Bergin, Richard Harris, David Threlfall, Alun Armstrong, and eleven Doctor Who cast connections:
